A book beyond Roseville’s shelves may be available through interlibrary loan
The library’s published agreement sets exclusions, possible shipping charges and a waiting period for requests to other systems.

Not finding a title in Roseville’s catalogue does not always end the search. The library’s interlibrary-loan service requests eligible materials from other library systems. Begin by checking the local catalogue and asking staff whether this is the right route for the item you need.
The published agreement excludes several categories, including DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, college textbooks and books published within the previous six months. Materials Roseville already owns are handled through local holds instead. Availability from another library is not guaranteed, and requests may take four to six weeks.

Read the agreement before submitting. It provides for shipping charges of up to ten dollars per request when an item arrives, including when a borrower does not collect it, and gives a seven-day pickup window. Confirm current terms with staff if timing or cost matters, especially when you need a book for a deadline.
Bring a precise title, author and edition when possible, and explain what you are trying to find. A librarian may be able to suggest a local alternative while a request is considered. Keep track of pickup messages and the lending library’s conditions so a useful connection to another collection does not become an overlooked obligation.
